Use fonts which appeal to the employer and which are not hard to read, like Arial or Times New Roman and avoid use of script fonts and fancy colors. Proofread it. Use a good quality paper and print the cover letter on it with a good quality printer. Ensure every minute detail is correct. A cover letter should stand out. Then and then only the resume objective will fulfill and your application will speak to the employer.
